Eight Tips for using inkjet printers

some inkjet printers often have troublesome faults in the process of use. This paper introduces some printing tips to make printing less difficult

trick 1: set up a fast print driver

if you often print some images with different characteristics, the paper size is often changed, and the print quality requirements are different, you can set a set of parameters for the same type of printing work. When printing is required, select the required print type from the drop-down menu of the print dialog box (as shown in the following figure)

in Windows XP, click "start/control panel/printers and others/printers and fax machines", and double-click "Add Printer". In Windows 98, 2000 or me, click "start/settings/printer", double-click "Add Printer", set through the wizard, and select a printer and settings as needed. When the system requires you to enter a name, you can choose a name that reflects the characteristics of the setting, such as deskjet draft printing, horizontal printing, vertical printing, etc. the third one is the name of the central armrest used in the car interior

trick 2: turn off the power of the printer correctly

after the printer is used, turn off the power switch of the printer itself. Note: you must not turn off the power switch on the surge protector or similar equipment directly. Many inkjet printers will automatically clean the print head after unplugging the power plug, and the print head will return to its original position

trick 3: download the latest printer driver

download and install the latest modified process complex driver of the printer from the printer manufacturer's station, which will improve the performance of the printer, enjoy new functions, and repair the defects of the printer

tip 4: keep the printer clean

dust, dirt and paper scraps can cause a variety of printer failures. If the printer is in an unclean or dusty environment, it is best to cover the printer with a piece of plastic film when the printer is not working

to keep the print head clean, you need to run the print head cleaning program that comes with the printer. If the print head cleaning program does not work, soak the print head in warm water and dry it with a dust-free dry cloth. You can also gently wipe the print head with a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol. Note: be careful not to let the liquid touch other parts of the Panasonic exchange servo machine of the printer

tip 5: use appropriate printing paper

many inkjet printers can print lifelike images on 75g/m2 ordinary copy paper. However, when using more quantitative printing paper, paper jam often occurs. Some printing paper has strong ink absorption, and the printed image appears blurred. Therefore, use different brands and different quantities of paper for printing test, especially the printing paper recommended by the printer manufacturer, find out the paper that can print the best effect on your printer, and use this kind of printing paper in the future

Tip 6: avoid paper jam

before putting the paper into the printer's paper tray, pay attention to bumping the edges of the paper first, and do not mix different quantities or different brands of printing paper. In a humid environment, the paper should be stored in a dry container to prevent the paper from absorbing moisture, otherwise it will cause paper jam

trick 7: get faster print data transmission

if the printer is connected with the computer through a parallel port, use a printer cable compatible with IEEE 1284A. Next, in the BIOS Setup program of the computer, change the printer port to ECP or EPP Mode

trick 8: warm up once a week

if the value is larger, it indicates that the printer is not used frequently. You can carry out a printing test once a week, and you only need to print one piece each time; If you have a color printer, but often print black-and-white images, then print color once a week; If you need to convert between a color print head and a black-and-white print head, you can put the unwanted print head in its box or in a sealed bag
