Johnson Controls released ten energy-saving measures

Johnson Controls, a world-renowned one-stop building solution supplier, recently released ten building energy-saving measures

at present, Johnson automatic control system monitors 63million tons of greenhouse gases emitted by 5000 buildings in 88 countries every year, involving an investment of up to $1, and it cannot be judged as wrong by mistake. In the past eight years, the system has completed 8000 energy-saving and consumption reduction solutions, nearly half of which are world-renowned multinational companies with a main business profit of 42.819 billion yuan in the first half of the year, saving a total of $1billion for enterprises and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by nearly 62000 tons. The ten building energy-saving measures launched by Johnson Controls this time are:

energy audit: in terms of function, it can be divided into two steps: digital display and microcomputer control. The most effective way is to hire energy service providers or contractors to conduct energy audit on enterprises, evaluate the types and scope of energy saved, analyze where energy has been efficiently used, and more importantly, find out where energy efficiency can be improved

lighting upgrade: the lighting system accounts for nearly 35% of the electricity cost in commercial buildings. Upgrading to more energy-efficient energy-saving lamps and ballasts can reduce power consumption by 20% - 50%. The work of improving lighting includes changing the inductive ballast to Jinan experimental machine factory. We have identified and divided each material into electronic ballast, and replaced T-12 lamp with T-8 lamp. Incandescent bulbs should be replaced by compact fluorescent lamps with long service life and energy saving

collect and effectively use energy information: review the historical records, billing errors and price information on the energy consumption list. Public utilities often implement different energy pricing according to the type of enterprise and the purpose of energy use, and enterprises should determine the most preferential energy price

control HVAC and lighting: controlling HVAC and lighting is the simplest and most effective way to save energy. Programmable thermostats and light sensors are installed in all places to manage the building through automatic systems, such as Johnson Controls' building management system, which can manage the whole building and accurately control each room

leakage assessment of building envelope: by taking protective measures in places where outdoor air can enter, such as doors and windows and sealing cracks, we can get immediate energy-saving returns. Adding cotton wool insulation on the roof and ceiling can also save energy. The waste caused by leakage at pipe joints and corners accounts for 30% of the energy consumed by air conditioners

change the behavior and habits of employees: employees should be active members of the company's energy-saving plan, and their efforts can save 5% - 20% of the energy budget. Sometimes just turning off the power supply in time after using the equipment can have the greatest impact on energy use

manage the use of water resources: the water temperature of most buildings is set too high, and lowering the hot water temperature can reduce the pressure of the system. Simple methods such as installing low water toilets and sinks can not only reduce the use of energy and water, but also have no impact on people's water use

insulated and sealed piping system: use insulated piping in non air-conditioned spaces or when the water temperature is higher or lower than room temperature. Even a little water leakage can have an impact on energy costs. Insulated pipes should be used in non air-conditioned spaces, and large water leaks must be prevented

implement sustainability programs: comprehensive energy-saving programs include the use of the energy and environmental design pioneer (LEED) rating system of the U.S. Green Building Council. Specific measures include using the natural light outside the window to reduce the heating demand by up to 10%. At night, sunshades can reduce the loss of radiant heat and reflect artificial light back to the building. In factories, courtyards and outdoor open spaces, shading in summer and windproofing in winter can also reduce energy consumption

participate in the Energy Star Program: Energy Star is a voluntary government program that encourages enterprises and individuals to use energy-saving products, saving money and protecting the environment
